Charles H. Green

I am currently finishing up my PhD in Philosophy at King's College London, supervised by Professor Bill Brewer and Dr. Alexander Franklin. I was also a Visiting Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh during the spring term of 2026, where I worked with Professor Matthew Soteriou. Before my PhD, I graduated with a first class MSci degree in Physics and Philosophy in 2022, also from King's.

My research mostly focuses on topics in philosophy of mind, general philosophy of science, and metaphysics. These include the metaphysics of colour, perception and visual consciousness, theoretical reduction and emergence in science, and the relationship between perceptual and scientific objectivity. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at King's and at UCL, I have taught undergraduate seminars and lectures on philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, logic, metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of physics, philosophical methodology, and philosophy of medicine (for medical students). I was a co-convenor for the philosophy of medicine course at King's.
